Creating Tipsy Tonic was an exploration of contrasts, movement, and playful elegance. The inspiration came from postmodern architecture’s defiance of rigid structures and rules. We wanted a piece that felt alive — fluid yet grounded. The tubular form of the body was developed to evoke the feel of stacked, cushioned forms while maintaining a strong, geometric balance. Deep plum was chosen for its rich, luxurious tone, adding warmth and vibrancy, while the chrome-finished legs bring a futuristic, industrial edge.
The legs themselves were a feat of sculptural experimentation. We designed them as if they were stretching and compressing, almost breathing, to create a sense of kinetic energy even when stationary. The interplay between soft, rounded forms and sharp metallic reflections embodies the essence of whimsy meeting bold sophistication.
Inside, practicality meets drama. The bar's interior layout was meticulously designed for seamless hosting, with built-in bottle racks and a mirrored backdrop to reflect light and amplify the visual effect of glassware and bottles. The drop-down door transforms into a sleek serving platform, offering both style and utility.
